Hi Again,
The problem is that the box doesn't detect that 7.8.0 is available. I've
tried unplugging it and leaving it unplugged, but it still doesn't pick
up the update. It's not even picking up 7.7.5 from the official site.
Please advise.

Please provide the full server.log file. That function is not defined
nor being used in LMS. And FWICT it's not a native SQLite function. It
must come from somewhere else. Maybe even one of the third party plugins.

As above, two of the three boxes have found the 7.8.0 version
automatically and have downloaded it. The third box says 7.7.3 is the
latest version available.

I thought I should report an issue I ran into:
I installed the 12/13 nightly (LogitechMediaServer-7.9.0-1450040158),
and it seemed to run fine until I tried to play Dynamic Playlists that
use a Custom Skip filter.

nope - dont know which browser you are using and what plugins running or
what kind of free ram the pogo has or if there are some old stuff in
some folders from your 7.8 trys.
