We are on Windows I assume? Then you probably have an item in a playlist with the same drive letter that is now used by the DVD drive ? Also double check you music folder and playlist folder settings so that they point where you want them to ? Another option is a shortcut pointing to the DVD

I just tried to rescan my music collection. The collection is a particular folder on one of my hard drives. I got an error popup from "scanner.exe" saying there was no disc in my DVD/CD drive. Why would scanner.exe try to read my DVD/CD drive? This is the first time I've seen this happen. -
