The controller would work - could control any player connected to your LMS. There are also smart phone/tablet apps which work as well - on iPhone or iPad, there's iPeng; There are a few on Android as well - e.g., Orange Squeeze, and others. Your Touch can also act to control other players as well.

I'm using the Local player plugin and outputs through usb from my Windows 10 machine. I also have a Touch connected so that I can use a hardware remote. If I wanted to control the music, still with a hardware remote, but from another room, would it work with just the controller from a Duet? //J
