You don't need to use the correct title as filename even if you use tags
, you can use some English title but still have Chinese tags .
Browse album and browse artist etc only cares for tags or cue sheet
content .

I have tested with a different LMS instance, same MSB and Tidal
accounts, on a different Antipodes server and it works OK, sets the FLAC
option and plays FLAC OK. I have asked Sailor Boy to test in his

Well here are a few suggestions of things to try, in no particular
order.
You say "new" laptop, did the Sonicorbiter connect without problem to
the previous instance of LMS on what ever it was running?
Do you still have the previous source that you could test functionality
with.

Download the
Id third (or fourth) the LMS on Pi with files on QNAP route.
Your QNAP is too old to upgrade beyond 7.7.x without a lot of mucking
about and frankly the upgrade you were originally talking about will
gain you diddly squat.
If the QNAP works ok as a file server then Id keep it doing that and
Disable firewall for testing on W10 box. If it works then you have to
open some ports
