Check your file dates, specifically the 'modification' or 'last updated'
date and time. If they're not later than everything else in the library,
then those albums won't bubble to the top of the New Music list. This
can sometimes be a problem with music files that you get through means

Still, it's good place to start, unless it's burdensome to do so.

Yes i know already pointed it out to them.
Asked why they set it on /opt, as they could do the same as i do symlink
it to /usr/local and /usr/bin.
But they don't understand why, but i think /opt is for a optware
solution not any thing else.
Also many other apps, symlink to the /opt directory,

Thanks, but no change with 1.06d.
Then I did a fresh install again, which built LMS from scratch. Indeed
strange.
What about the users on qnap. I saw, that only admin and root existed. I
created user

We found the problem, the old optware is messing up youe system.
I would suggest to remove it from the appstore, and install a proper
Optware solution.
The thing i learned from this is, not to let the script not use any
other program then those supplied by Qnap.
I know how to fix this, when

If so just do rm /opt.
Would not remove the optware, as you properly uses for other things.
In my case i have Optware-NG enabled and running on /opt, and no trouble
at all.

In .QLMS.conf I have SUDO=1
I have sudo in an old Optware folder, now foo.Optware.
I changed name to avoid interfereance with QLMS.

Qnapfan we think the same, yes he has sudo by optware. As he also gets
the messages from renice, which came apart of QTS after version 4.3.
Does mather know now where the things go wrong.

Never looked but is there an etc/logrotate.d/logitechmediaserver? That's
where rotation of the log file would be driven unless LMS does it
itself.

Should I install over existing 1.05a?
Is there something special for the default download share? I didn't
change rights there. Could the new "run as sudo" change the behavior?
NAS:
I have recently noticed that my server.log file only goes back a couple
of days and it is really small. I am sure this is new behaviour. The
contents of my log folder on a Raspberry Pi looks like this
24437
Are the *.gz files significant and why do they only start on the 20th
January?
Very strange, here it did the update.
You could try to install the beta version V1.06.d

Qnap TS-453a, with LogitechMediaSever 7.9.1 ( with spotty and youtube )
Oke look at the source, and the info from Qnapfan.
Also tried same stuff, and change a few things.
Please do a clean install with this beta. 'QLogitechMediaServer V1.06.d

If it wont start, there will be a logfile in the LogitechMediaServer

I'd say that would be a very good place to start and see if it improves
performance.

Qnapfan thanks for the info, and checking on it.
Looked on it this morning, and yes it comes from the LMS packets
itself.
Strangly enough i use the same perl i686 on my QNap, no trouble no
errors.
I uses the i686 perl version, because it needs less memory then the
x86_64 perl version.
