Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] New Music
Check your file dates, specifically the 'modification' or 'last updated' date and time. If they're not later than everything else in the library, then those albums won't bubble to the top of the New Music list. This can sometimes be a problem with music files that you get through means other than ripping CDs. Maybe you downloaded them in some type of archive file and unpacked them, so that all the files have an older date. Or maybe you downloaded them some time ago and are just now adding them to your library. Or maybe someone gave them to you on a USB stick. If that's the problem, the easiest fix is to use a file attribute modification program that can change the files' modified date. (In Windows I use 'Attribute Changer' (https://www.petges.lu/download/), which works from within Windows Explorer.) You could also use a music file tagging program and re-save the files, perhaps with some minor change. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LogitechMediaServer for Qnap x86_64 with qts 4.2 or higher
Yes i know already pointed it out to them. Asked why they set it on /opt, as they could do the same as i do symlink it to /usr/local and /usr/bin. But they don't understand why, but i think /opt is for a optware solution not any thing else. Also many other apps, symlink to the /opt directory, thats why Entware-NG/Entware-x3 interrupted with the working of other programs. And for that reason many SSOTS/SSODS user are not happy after installing Entware-NG/Entware-x3. But for QlogitechMediaServer to work proper, there must not be any other perl installation on the system. And as you have noticed, QLogitechMediaServer only uses programs supplied by Qnap QTS. The only thing which is supplied, is a working perl. jasell wrote: > I'm happy to test the next version, I appreciate the effort from you do > this and is happy to help with testing if i can. > > Just for reference, Perl is provided from QNAP, it installs Optware as > you install it. We found the problem, the old optware is messing up youe system. I would suggest to remove it from the appstore, and install a proper Optware solution. Just for testing could you do ./LogitechMediaServer.sh stop. Then from LogitechMediaServer directory do chown -R squeezeboxserver SlimServer/, and chmod -R 0755 SlimServer/ After this try ./LogitechMediaServer.sh start If it give the error again, please send me the LogitechMediaServer.log.err and LogitechMediaServer.log If there is the error do form the LogitechMediaServer directory vi .QLMS.conf and put a # in front of SUDO=1. Just tested this using a static m3u playlist of 215 songs. At the bottom of the Dynamic Playlist screen panel I set the "Now playing will show" to 5 upcoming songs and just left the box blank for the "recently played songs" which I believe will leave all songs played in the list. Dynamic playlists populates the now playing panel 5 songs at a time. When it starts the 5th song of each set of 5 it then loads the next 5 songs to be played. 'QLogitechMediaServer V1.06.d for QNap QTS 4.2 or higher' (https://goo.gl/p6N1kJ) If it wont start, there will be a logfile in the LogitechMediaServer directory, called LogitechMediaServer.log.err can you send it to me together with the other logfile. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LogitechMediaServer for Qnap x86_64 with qts 4.2 or higher
Qnapfan thanks for the info, and checking on it. Looked on it this morning, and yes it comes from the LMS packets itself. Strangly enough i use the same perl i686 on my QNap, no trouble no errors. I uses the i686 perl version, because it needs less memory then the x86_64 perl version. The only thing i can do, have a good look on the installation script, and ownerright it the script. Gone look at it today, and hopefully will bring out a new beta, and lets hope will fix it. qnapfan wrote: > look at > https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/65#issuecomment-138557324, > sounds like a permisssion problem (also look at the parameter nogroup) > and jasell should list the permisssions for the directories * maintainer of QLogitechMediaServer and Qnap-Optware-NG.
