I played with this. I set a TCMP=0 for an album that I have as a
compilation, but have never used TCMP before at all. I've always used my
own method for compilations that works across all my players that I used
prior to getting into Squeeze stuff early 2009. Did a full clear and
scan. I normally

Ok, so it would be Synology's Disk Station Manager and not Logitech
Media Server. How do I edit

And if ALBUMARTIST is set it's

Actually, I intend to do a full reinstall of LMS (after a

I assume that means and includes all players & NAS. If yes then WiFi is
not an issue. If no then we need clarification from OP.

But he is kinda vague on
If problem goes away when player are unsynced - assumiong wifi is in
use, then the issue could be probably one player has a weaker signal or
wifi is getting "overloaded" and to maintain sync LMS has to pause the
whole group.
Enabling logging may help locate the problematic player - otherwise

That's good - independent build and test is reassuring.

Coincidences happen. A few years I spent weeks tracking down a bug
eventually to a RealAudio codec part of ffmpeg, I worked out a solution
then I posted it. A day or so later, the maintainer of the RealAudio
codec

I think it is the same but badly worded.
The writer says their 24 bits alac file when examined by the
Audiotoolbox (i.e. Apple not ffmpeg libraries

As far as ive checked that
Also - while updating software is not always the right answer ... you
could try a more recent LMS on a different machine (... I know ...
changing two things does not necessarily help work out where the problem
is).
If the problem does not repeat itself with the new install then you
could
Try just the Touch playing (un-sync all), see if problem persists.
Maybe some (or all) files require transcoding and the NAS can't keep up?
NAS losing network connection?
Tried same setup but just streaming internet radio? Or run LMS
temporarily on a full computer for 2 days? If either of
No, not mine. Haven't got around to it yet. Although it seems similar
and perhaps related, it doesn't seem quite the same?
