[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS rescan problems
Since using Xubuntu 18.04 I am having problems with rescanning my local music collection. Scanning via the gui using the 'Looking for new and changed media files' works fine. The option 'Clear library and rescan everything' however results in a hanging scan process or an incomplete scan result (sometimes the former, sometime the latter). When hanging I need to manually kill all LMS processes via the Linux command line, a prober restart of LMS doesn't solve the hanging scan process. When hanging server.log says: [18-10-27 00:14:10.9152] main::main (205) Starting Logitech Media Server scanner (v7.9.1, 1522157629, Fri Mar 30 12:25:29 CEST 2018) perl 5.026001 [18-10-27 00:14:11.1807] Slim::Schema::forceCommit (2149) Warning: Trying to commit transactions before DB is initialized! Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LogitechMediaServer for Qnap x86_64 with qts 4.2 or higher
* There are people who complain, that after the upgraded the plugin webpage is slow or not loading ! This is because of several things, al regarding that all of them come from another installation like SSOTS or others. They copied the Cache en prefs directory, in the SlimServer directory from QLogitechMediaServer. On itzelf not a big a problem, but in those file there are also path settings. And because Cache and prefs now are located in another directory structure, is take some time to adjust. That's quiet normal and will solve itzself. So if you have this issue, leave it be, and try restarting QLogitechMediaServer once a day. You will notice that's it getting faster and the issue will solve it self. * * maintainer of QLogitechMediaServer, QOptware-NG and QAutoSub. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS non responsive after clocks go back
There might have been something in the LMS logs. If it happens again on last Sunday in October next year (if it is not cancelled) then check there for clues. Mine was fine (3 players). That's strange should choice the right version itself. I think this should be reported!. You could download is you're self and then install it. You dont need to uninstall the older version. But i think you're trying to install the x86 version, but you should install the x86_64 version. You could check it bij logon through ssh shell, and then do uname -m where it will properly says x86_64 jasell wrote: > Hi, > > I had QLMS 1.08 (I think) and in my Appcenter I had an update. > > I tried it and the system stated to upgrade to QLogitechMediaCenter > 2.00.01 > > During the installation I got the following error > > > Code: > > > TypeDateTimeUsers Source IP Computer name Content > Error 2018/10/28 14:38:31System 127.0.0.1 localhost You're trying to install the wrong version for LogitechMediaServer, it needs the x86_64 version! > > > > > My system is a TS 439 pro II+, on latest QTS 4.2.6 (running Intel x86 > 64 bit processors) > > SHould manually remove my previous installtion QLMS installation? * maintainer of QLogitechMediaServer, QOptware-NG and QAutoSub. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS non responsive after clocks go back
This is a strange one I haven't seen before. This morning my players could not contact LMS and the web GUI would not open. Ocould still open the Max2Play web page on my Pi so I restarted LMS and all is back to normal. Is it just a coincidence that the clocks went back at 2 AM. I cannot remember ever seeing this happen where LMS crashed but the Pi was still working. Is the intention to eventually have QLMS supercede QLogitechMediaServer? And one other observation - both QLMS and QLogitechMediaServer are using a different timezone to my NAS. For me in London both are one hour ahead of the timezone displayed in the Web GUI of my NAS, even after the end of daylight saving time. I know that timezone in a chroot environment is different to the root timezone and can be changed by making a soft link to the correct timezone file but I have no idea how to amend this in QLMS or QLogitcheMediaServer.
