Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Server Machine Alternatives.
[I think this is a better thread for this question (I made the same in a thread I opened in the Beginners forum)... maybe it can be deleted from there if the admins think it should!] Would you suggest to install a Linux distribution on my Mac mini (Late 2009, SSD, 8GB RAM) running El Capitan at the moment (the last os that supports this model) in order to use it as LMS machine? What Os would you suggest? Daphile? Ubuntu? Now I use LMS installed on El Capitan but as said before there maybe some problems because of the old macOS. Would it be possible to dual boot? I have completely no experience in installing and using Linux. Thnx! Found this link about the exact same mac: https://www.zealfortechnology.com/2018/07/revive-old-mac-mini-2009-with-linux.html An option would be to leave the existing ssd as is in case I want to go back to macOS again and buy a new one to try Linux. Main system: Synology DS115j/MacMini[SSD_8GB](LMS)/RPi3B+[LPS](piCore)/M2Tech EvoDAC Two+[LPS]/Densen DM20&30/Spendor SP2/3E Head-Fi: Schiit Vali2/Sennheiser HD600 & HD25Alum/Audeze Sine. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Installing PiCorePlayer & Squeebox
I'm trying to install PiCorePlayer and Squeezebox, following the official PCP tutorial. Things seem to run fun until it gets to the Install LMS stage, where it's supposed to refresh the web page again to go on. But it did not. On the Raspberry screen, the last line says "SMP: failed to sotp secondary CPUs". What can or should I do? Start installation all over again from the beginning? carlmart's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110829 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] QLogitechMediaServer for Qnap with QTS 4.2 or higher and x86_64/I686/X86 support !
Hi digimaster, after sucessful installation of 2.09.06 on my TS-251+ and a music library folder rescan, I discovered all music files and folders are suddenly owned by squeezeboxserver and I can't delete or modify mp3 files from my PC anymore. Before the library rescan everything was fine. Any idea? mjack mjack's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68965 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108702 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] C-3PO plugin, a trnscoding helper.
Hi all once again, Since the arch64 platform is gaining momentum and is increasingly fast now (faster than my Intel Celeron 1007U) - is it possible to include C-3PO and the required files (eg sox, faad) within the plugin? I tried upsampling all files on my celeron 1007U to DSD64 - and it works quite ok. The Odroid N2 has a CPU score that is much higher the the celeron Am not that good with compiling binaries etc anyone able to assist? ho_kuku's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65985 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105309 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
