As LMS is single threaded does this mean that it can only ever able to
use 2gb ram when 32bit even if Pi has 4gb ram on board?
Correct, but I think Michael will tell you that LMS has no need to
access that much memory.
Correct.

Wash MIP running _before_ LMS was started? What if you restarted LMS now?

piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.
Yes, I am using Cue-Files. But I never had any problems because of them.
I have now switched back to Version 7.9.2 and everything works fine.
So you are right and there is bug in 8.0.0. I wait until Martin
implements 8.0.1 to the Synology LMS Update Channel. Hopefully this
will help.

pCP doesn't run a desktop environment (but you could) Pulseaudio is
available in the piCore repo.

Hi All,
Seeing the following message in the LMS server log with LMS 8.0.0:
Slim::Plugin::MusicMagic::Plugin::initPlugin (155) Can't connect to port
10002 - MusicIP disabled.
MusicIP is definitely listening on 10002:

Hi Ronnie, I think that it could be cool to see this working in
piCorePlayer. Maybe the module is available upstream (TinyCore Linux,
piCore Linux)
I just updated my raspbian buster and every thing seems to still work.

I have a TIDAL Premium subscription that offers AAC streams up to
320kbps (for 9,99 euro per month), and that is working OK with LMS
8.0.1.

No, that was the case in the early releases, since version 2.0.0 it is
no longer the case.
Rpi does some special mapping to use all memory in 32bit mode. Still
limited to 2gb per process.
There are some changes in pCP7.
32bit images is pure 32 bit
64bit is pure 64bit.
We had to separate for repo management. (Yes, pCP6 was 64bit kernel and
32bit user space)

Tx Michael - completely missed out on this.
And can confirm that Tidal now works again.
Will I still need the FLAC/ High Res subscription, or will it work with
the lower res subscription as well?

Well I remember from Windows, there is a 3gb limit (i think) on 32 bit.
I just assumed that linux is the same

My LMS is updated to the October 20th nightly build and runs on a
Windows 10 x64 Pro server.
That's too old. You need to get the 8.0.0 release or one of the 8.0.1
nightly builds.

@bpa am I correct in thinking that BBC Sounds plugin still requires BBC

It's been a while since my Tidal account stopped working with my
Squeezebox system. I decided to try to get it to work again today.
I have upgraded my Tidal account to FLAC/ High Res and reautorized my
login.
But I just can not get it to work. The error message I can read on the
Squeezebox Touch
How do I find out which audio files this resorts to?
You could look into the tracks table in library.db: the value can be
found in the coverid column.
Most likely it's tracks being played somewhere, or in the queue. As you
can see the error is repeated all the time for the same track(s).

Well I'm thinking mostly just about using the Desktop as a stanby /
replacement music source.
I really only stream stuff these days, I haven't bought any music for
years.

Thanks for this info. I use BBC iPlayer almost only for playing live
streams (which works fine), and was nor aware that "Listen Again" does
not work anymore.

You might not be trying to use all of the functionality.
Try to access the list of programmes in a radio station.
For now at least it is broken because of changes at BBC - and there
might

working fine for me. You can add this plugin to LMS by adding the
