Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Orbi Mesh and Inability to Connect
I started having problems with a Radio connecting to my Orbi network. However, I have the RBK53 - which isn't AX, it's AC. These problems started last week, and I am wondering about a solution. Anyone have any thoughts on what to adjust on that model's advanced wireless settings? stoobie-doo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2192 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114379 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] How random is random?
I'd still recommend trying Dynamic and SQL Playlist plugins by Erland. I know someone mentioned a crash, But I've not had a single LMS failure including one complete wipe and reinstalled Dynamic and SQL without the old license plugin before Erland made them unsupported. I do run recent 8.1.2 LMS and always update and these plugins just keep on working flawlessly. Bottom line is they work great for what you want, you can apply quite a few different filters so if your music is well organized they just work. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Sound disappears, playhead continues, server is lost?
On rare occasions, suddenly the audio disappears, while the song still seems to be playing, and there is no way but to restart my Touch to get the sound back. I use digital out to a DAC. Even rarer I have to restart LMS as well before I can get audio. When it happens it is as if my Touch has lost connection with my server, and then try to force me to play through mysqueezebox.com, which I don't want to, as Deezer hifi does not work through that. My server is still running, LMS is still running, so I have no idea why the "connection" is lost or why the audio disappears while the tracks seems to be playing. The current track should be in the cache, so should play fine no matter what. Pretty sure that device is only a player. You may be able to hack LMS onto it, but not without some linux skills. You can run LMS very effectively on a Raspberry Pi 4B-4GB and point it to any music library on your network. Easy instructions can be found at piCorePlayer site. I had not done these settings, mainly because I had no idea they were there. So, I did indeed set them, and (I'm loathe to say this, as I've suffered from early optimism before, but...) it does seem to be delivering a good result. Even with the caveats that I've read about in those interesting posts and links above on the psychology and engineering of so-called randomness, still I'm impressed. This does (careful now...) seem to have sorted it for me, for which many thanks. There is a but, though. The only thing not right is that I only get a playlist of ten songs. Plays ten "random" (maybe we ought to call them shuffled?) songs from my defined source, then stops. Does this have anything to do with the "Now Playing will show" bit, or is it another setting somewhere else I don't know about yet? I'd like it to just keep going till I tell it to stop. Anyway, randomly speaking, I'm smiling. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Is there an AARCH64 (ARM 64bit) DEB package of LMS available ?
an Internet radio, which works fine. Now I would like to (finally !) take the plunge and set it up as a media player, serving audio files from a small NAS box, the NanoPi Neo2 + NAS kit. The Nanopi Neo2 is a 64 bit machine however ... (Allwinner H5). The NanoPi machine runs on Armbian Debian Stretch, and the installed Perl version is 5.24.1. Perl 5.24 should be supported on aarch64. ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

OpenSSL is old and so will not offer the necessary up to date https security whci his expected by a lot of internet services. For OS version try the command "*lsb_release -a*" ( letters are lower case L and not digit 1) What model Odroid is it ? probably U2, U3, XU , X3. Attach a photo of board if necessary. Does any branding appear on startup such as Max2play ? Before considering upgrading - do you use internet services (e.g. internet radio stream ) with LMS or is your LMS use totally local just playing audio files (e.g. your Flac collection). Downloaded files which are then susequently played as a local file on LMS does not count as LMS internet usage. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114470 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Thanks for the reply. Actually, the issue on the SB3 is it can't wake the server rather than can't connect. If I do nothing for a couple of days, it connects straight away. I think the Odroid goes direct to the PC so I can control it via Putty & LMS. I didn't set my system up, so it's always been configured that way for 6 or 7 years. muggo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11514 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114470 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Most ARM64 systems are capable of running 32 bit binaries, have you tried that version? Alternatively, if docker is available for your platform you could use a container version of LMS - https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?111828-Official-docker-container-for-LMS=docker sparkyuk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70716 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114476 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Thanks for the contributions. What I am trying to do now is figure out how to get my LMS back up and running. From what you all have said there seems to be a thought the the issue is not enough memory when I tried to update. So I will make the resize to 2000MB. I was then thinking of deleting Cache and Preferences via the GUI to see if that helped because some of the files were empty and have been deleted. If that doesn't work I would then try another LMS update. If all else fails I will have to go back to square one and re root PcP. I was always an advocate for resizing to use the whole card if it was a smallish one, say 8GB or 16GB. However using the new "Create Backup" feature in pCP for a 16GB card takes for ever, and burning the resulting .iso file to a new 16GB card takes even longer, and failed, slightly different size card?
