I restored from a backup to the 32 gb/sd and due to home/music it had an
out of space error. I though nothing much about it.
Not sure where I could find the verbatim error?
Well, if you run out of space, then you're to expect all kinds of
errors. You should sort that out first.

Try starting it interactively to see if there is a better error
message.
If you move to the directory where slimserver.pl is located you could
try
perl slimserver.pl
The startup script will do more than that but it might give a clue.

I may add, that these kind of problems maybe were overlapped by my
former problems with hanging squeezeboxes classic from Logitech. These
have now been retired. My setup:
- DietPi (8.0.x.x)/Squeezeboxserver on a Raspberry Pi 4b 2GB RAM with 32
GB SD card and 4TB external card via USB3.0
