I use the latest pcP version and there was no power outage (100% sure).
The Synology NAS is not rebooting either, so nothing can get out of sync
here.
This morning I updated again to the latest LMS version (8.3.0 -
1644703639) and it happened again that it lost the music directories on
my NAS.

LMS is controlled mainly through its web interface, accessible on your
local network at the IP address of the device running LMS, port

Thanks, It reported that it is active (running). Looks like I need the
basic user guide to this. I see the LMS referred to all over the place
but, not much on its basic functionality.

You are aware that LMS runs in the background on Linux? There's no
window that opens, no icon in the tray. I understand there's an LMS
control panel that appears when it's running on Windows. Apparently,
people sometimes look for that when they try running LMS on Linux, but
it's not there.

Been using LMS for 15 years but have only recently started to pick up a
lot of audiobooks. These have been showing up in places like Random
Albums and artist lists and occasionally DStM has ended up playing a
random Harry Potter chapter or two. Enough's enough. They had to be more
separate.
So
Try
sudo systemctl status logitechmediaserver
to see what happened.

sudo systemctl

Yes. Docker.
Two questions:
1. How do I switch notifications off? (And if I do what will I be
loosing?)
2. How can I get info about available updates on Docker HUB
automatically? (So, far - I get a lot of notifications about updates

Again, thank you very much! Getting the metadata set up as expected,
does not seem to be something simple for the general user. I did install
MusicBrianz Picard, which does seem to to a better job than the older
version of Kid3 in the Debian buster repo, but I still see the same

I have had LMS 8.11-1610364020 from Pinkdot running soothly on my
DS214play under DSM 6.2.4 (latest) for a long time. I have not upgraded
to Pearl 5.28 and so it has worked well. This afternoon I read about
the possibility of airplay and installed the plugin ShairTunes2 (fork)
by Philippe and
Ralphy, thanks! That's working BUT (and I hate to complain) there's a
delay of about 7-8 seconds on boot between when the jivelite UI is
displayed and when the squeezelite player is automatically selected. I
wasn't seeing this delay when I did my hack patch above. After boot and
first load, if I
I have done that several times.
GIve me sometime and when the SPOTTY crashes or doesnt work, I will send
that log over to you.
Thank you.

Any pointers on what is happening?
Your log is full of
"Token refresh call helper has closed unexpectedly? - Please consider
re-setting your Spotify credentials should this happen all the time."
Did you try that?

anyway..
Probably best just

Thanks for the response. The
Here's a patch for you to try that replaces the hard coded udp broadcast
only poll list to populate the discovery server list with what has been
configured in the Remote Libraries settings.
Code:
diff --git a/share/jive/applets/SlimDiscovery/SlimDiscoveryApplet.lua
I hoped that some CUE sheet expert would chime in... but your thread
title probably is a bit too generic and not relevant to the problem...
So what I've found in your file is that it comes with an embedded CUE
sheet. Alas, it's very incomplete:

Doing a fresh LMS install on Ubuntu Server 20.04. Spicefly Sugarcube
(which requires License Manager) and Trackstat are key parts to my usage
of LMS. For two days I have failed to install License Manager, Custom
Scan and Trackstat plugins. Server log shows errors containing lines
like this:
Thank you very much! I did upload the file shown in the logs for testing
purposes. Before doing so, I did confirm that the issue does occur with
multiple (the vast majority, probably all, but I am not certain about
that) files where I did edit the tags with this package of kid3:
Thanks for your reply!
How to change this option?
