I went around the problem, and switched the Pi over to wireless. The
router is about a foot away from the Allo streamer, so the connection
should be fine. It's working but don't have time to listen right now.
We'll see - fingers crossed.

Is your wired Pi connecting to the LMS that you think it should be
connecting to?
Do you see it listed in your LMS web interface and can you send things
to it from there?
LMS server.log (which you can see from LMS Default web interface -
Settings/Information then go to the bottom or from pCP
Reinstalled LMS-the server "sees" all the music. Boom (wireless) plays,
but the wired Pi does not. What do I need to log so somebody can tell me
what's wrong?

I had the same problem and set the mode to cache several months ago and
have not had a repeat of the issue.
