I often see this behavior, when the server failed to mount the network drives containing my music due to a power failure or whenever the server runs before the drives are ready. After that, a rescan is necessary. Works well for my hardware players. Maybe restarting squeezelite via command line aint the proper way. Try turning it off before. Im still on 7.9.3 and radio.de doesnt work for me either. I tried it right now and some weeks before to no avail. There is a new plugin called radionet. That works and I found some german radio stations, I looked for. @bpa Both use different installations: Spacehead chose the new App designed by digimaster, while dolobendan went the former route by installing an environment called SSOTS. This environment provides for instance some binarys but assumes an older architecture (i386). As you downloaded it already in some Folder called "Public", you only have to find the tug and move it in the right place. Do you have LMS 7.7.2 already installed? If not, try this one:http://download.qnapclub.de/qpkg/logitechmediaserver/LogitechMediaServer_7.7.2_x86.zip. If that worked, you can continue. If not and you don't have running installation of LMS on your new QNAP, I'm out of ideas. :( After that download 'the latest 7.9.1 gnuzipped tape archive (tgz) for all architectures' (http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/7.9/sc/a519d5e/logitechmediaserver-7.9.1-1504317335.tgz) and rename it from "logitechmediaserver-7.9.1-1504317335.tgz" (for example) to "squeezeboxserver-7.8.1-1504317335.tgz" or "squeezeboxserver-7.8.11-1504317335.tgz" or so. The file name only matters for the SSOTS installation routine. Save the file in your QNAPS /Public directory, open SSOTS (your.QNAP.ip:9099). Then choose UPGRADE and follow the instructions. If some steps fail, come back here. I don't know exactly if there is any difference between those two functions. What would LMS render to if not to its players? But I'm not too deep into DLNA. Nevertheless I recently played some music from my old android phone and even from my LMS (as DLNA server) with Bubble UPnP (an android DLNA App) to a SqueezeBox ( as DLNA renderer/player). All my SqueezeBoxes were only visible as players in Bubble UPnP while Andy Grundmans uPnP/DLNA Mediainterface was activated. Delete the server.log, start LMS. When it's stopped again, post the Log here. Have you tried "/opt/ssods4/bin/ssctrl start"? More Info is required: What QNAP running Which Firmware (QTS?) What Version of LMS? What shows server.log? Are there any error messages of SSOTS while starting LMS? Maybe you ssh in your QNAP and execute "ssctrl start" from command line. I don't know, if there are qpkg versions for QNAPs with actual architecture. I only found some for x86 and older arm. So be prepared. Get your QNAP as a NAS and a RasPi for LMS. That is a known issue. Since you didn't install 7.9.0 as qpkg, the app center doesn't know, it's runningi a new version. But your LMS tells you that. So the easiest way is to ignore the Version in app center. Nevertheless there will be an update as LMS tells you.
