I removed the preference and installed it again. LMS still doesn't work,
and the "Stop Server" button still doesn't stop the server.
Ok, next step: there are various folders keeping your LMS data. Shut
down LMS, move them out of sight (or rename them), then restart:

UI doesn't respond. Do you have any network related tools installed?
