Nice little feature that I will make use of for evaluating newly
acquired music before uploading it to the server. All too often I upload
batches of new stuff & forget about half of it! The "New Music" option
was always a bit unreliable for this but now seems to be absent? I
Well, the issues seem to be with ad blockers, and not with chrome
itself. But regretfully it does not help to disable the ad blocker. Only
by uninstalling it.
Which one(s) did you use?

Runs for me when I connect remotely from a Windows 10 laptop using
Chrome. Nice job!

Can you _uninstall_ them, just to be sure?
Oooh Michael - I don't know about that... it has taken me years to
build the map of sites with custom settings for ad-blocking. I'd hate to
loose all that
Ok, then just use a different browser when you want to use this feature.

Do you have any content filtering add-ins enabled?
No, they are all disabled for local IP's.

I'm not sure what to look for in the console. I found this:
Code:
Resource interpreted as Document but transferred with MIME type audio/mp3:
I tried again today, first clearing the plylist, then dragging and
dropping several files into the righthand playlist frame. Same as
before. Chrome just opens the first file and begins playback.

I would have no idea how to get a 7.9.1 version :(
If it's working now, then that's fine. No need to update right now.
I need to talk to Paul about how to install whatever is latest LMS on
piCorePlayer...

Hmm... tried again with MSIE, FF, Chrome & Safari on Windows 7 and macOS
10.12, using whatever was latest. All of them worked as expected. Single
files, bunch of files, empty playlist, adding to existing playlist.
Please try tomorrow's 7.9.1, as I did indeed see a problem
Turns out the JavaScript uses a property of the dropped file which has
been deprecated in June 2016... and eg. Safari already no longer
supports it. I'll have to fix that.

Clear the playlist and try adding a *bunch* of files as in post #1
Hmm... 1 single file should be perfectly fine. What OS and browser
(client, not server)?

Off course, I understand that. It doesn't matter where I drop it. The
same thing happens all over.
Did you enable the D'n'D plugin?
(Does it matter that my LMS does not run on the same Windows machine,
but on a NAS somewhere else?)
No, that's exactly the most important use case: play stuff

I'm on 7.9.0 - 1488878280 and I have activated the D'n'D plugin, but

Thanks Michael! This solves a huge problem for me. I just tried it
with file explorer in windows 10. Worked like a champ!
