There is a plugin called localplayer that includes a player from triode to the LMS. If you dont have some real hardware plyer or some software player -. lms would say "No Player" A IP Adress is something like a phone number - or in other words the highlander princip -. That looks like a networking problem. Check you don't have a firewall running on the LMS machine Check the IP addresses on the player and on the LMS machine Reboot the player (doesn't hurt and can help.) LMS and player are two different things. LMS itself is not a player. Which player do you have? I have a Vortex Box. Ripped CD's are viewable on the LMS, but songs don't play. I get a message that LMS does not find my player despite the fact that it sees all the albums that I have ripped.
