Check the IP settings on your system and get ping to work to somewhere
outside - using a hostname ...
for example
ping www.bbc.co.uk
I don't know which tools are required on your system to show the network
set-up.
It might be ifconfig
Take a look at the IP address, netmask and DNS address -

Not sure what the problem could be. Do you have IPv4 DNS available ?
