I suppose the lesson learned is to check the log ASAP after an issue and save it. If you installed from a .dpkg or .rpm file you can check if the file has been modified since install. If you used a tarball all bets are off.. -Transcoded from Matt's brain by Tapatalk- -- Hardware: 3x Touch, 1x Radio, 2x Receivers, 1 HP Microserver NAS with Debian+LMS 7.9.0 Music: ~1300 CDs, as 450 GB of 16/44k FLACs. No one can say something like that, cause one user has std. settings for the logging, another user has set one portion (or more) to debug and so on. Another User like me didn't use external streams or "-nomysqueezebox" settings and the Server is always except for an update powered on. Some has all the std. plugins enabled, some other has even some of the builtin plugins disabled. Never looked but is there an etc/logrotate.d/logitechmediaserver? That's where rotation of the log file would be driven unless LMS does it itself. -Transcoded from Matt's brain by Tapatalk- -- Hardware: 3x Touch, 1x Radio, 2x Receivers, 1 HP Microserver NAS with Debian+LMS 7.9.0 Music: ~1300 CDs, as 450 GB of 16/44k FLACs. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS Server log size
I have recently noticed that my server.log file only goes back a couple of days and it is really small. I am sure this is new behaviour. The contents of my log folder on a Raspberry Pi looks like this 24437 Are the *.gz files significant and why do they only start on the 20th January? +---+ |Filename: log.JPG | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=24437| +---+ slartibartfast's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35609 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108624 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
