Started again. In the log it says (from 10.51) that some playlist don't
exist on disk. But they do. I deleted the ones in the prefs folder. Then
I started again, played some songs. Stopped again. Then it only said
this:

I run LMS on a dedicated desktop computer (information given below) and
yesterday I experienced a very strange and distressing problem. I was in
the process of doing "find new music" rescan and opened the LMS web
browser interface on the dedicated computer that runs LMS to check on
the progress
Alexa Echo and Dot will be available in the UK and Germany next month.
I notice that there has been one github project to control LMS which
seems to have faltered ( https://github.com/lordpengwin/muzak ).
I wonder whether the wider availability of the Alexa devices might
promote more

dont run the latest OS with 7.8.0 update at least to 7.8.1 or 7.9
And always look @ the server.log when there are some unexpected things

I can set an alarm to play a Random track on any of my units and within
a minute or so of the alarm triggering, the LMS local service stops.
Any ideas?

Yeah I know that LMS is pretty old but that version runs very nicely on
my computer and I not sure that newer version

If Edge has a memory leak that's an Edge problem. Nonstandard LMS
