hmm but in all your logfiles polaylist is nested inside - even after
No real way but if you create a BAT file with the required command and
create a short cut to the BAT file and make it run the BAT file
minimized - still uses a window just won't open display it

Great, thanks a lot, Michael.
Probably it'll take a few days for me to try it, but I'll report back.
No need to apply the patch I posted. Just update LMS to the latest.

Finally got round to blogging about my DIY take on the Alexa <->
Squeezebox integration, with a few (very amateur) demo videos:
'squeeze-alexa demos'

Hopefully will find some time to make it useful to others.

This is a bit of a long shot...
I now have to use a VPN on my Windows PC that runs LMS and this has
broken my BBC radio streams. I'm assuming this is because I'm connecting
to a foreign VPN (I'm in the UK) *VPN off, BBC streams fine; VPN on;
streams stop (non-BBC streams still work).
After
I'm running LMS and Triode's iPlayer plugin. I was hoping that routing
LMS straight to the NIC and bypassing the VPN would also route all
streams with it, but that doesn't appear to be the case *not that I
know enough about this stuff to tell...
How are you playniug the BBC streams ?
If you are using the squeezenet and the MP3 stream - then VPN won't work
as URL is translated at the SN server.
If you are running a LMS server - using a BBC plugin may work but
depends on the VPN.
mea culpa, but that not the way to solve it...
if you repair your car cause something is rattling you would fix all
loose joints & bolts you woulnd fix one joint take a look if the
rattling is gone and if not unscrew that bolt again - but thats very
similar what you do.
When is the server
That was fast :) Thanks for clearing things up.

I'm not sure, whether this was already discussed here or not: I just
read, that the Logitech Harmony Elite remote works with Alexa for voice
control. Could/would that be a simple and easy way to integrate Alexa
into a LMS ecosystem? Does anyone have a Harmony Elite?
