nope, it's not that, the server is plenty fast, and the "slow time" was
over 3 days

my usually extremely stable LMS installation recently (3-4 weeks ago)
started having problems. After a couple of days of successfully running,
it's shutting down and cannot be successfully restarted (tried console
as well as "computer management"/services. Only restarting the computer
itself
