It can be the same copy run twice. That would not work, as only one
process can use the ports being used by LMS.
I always have Activity Monitor running on my LMS server to show what is
happening within the system at any time. Only one instance of Perl is
shown running.
That's not real-time

When the Mac boots you can hold down Command-R to restore the OS via the
web from Apple. Since nothing is on DVD/CD any longer, this is how you
do a

Perl does not install with LMS - a version of Perl is included as part
of OS. LMS provides its some of required CPAN libraries.
If you upgraded the OS from say 10.x.x to 10.12.* - I guess there is a
possibility of some sort of incompatibility. If you upgraded from
10.12.x to 10.12.y - I'd guess
I totally reinitialized the drive and did a new install of everything.
Does Perl install with LMS? I didn't install anything other than LAME.

Looking at the log and some of the errors are the same ones that were
showing up before you re-installed.
Did you re-install Perl and all supportin CPAN libraries ?

Thanks again for the help. This is just so bizarre... and it seems LAME
still isn't encoding properly. I have added the executable file into
the preference file package just like FLAC, SOX, etc. are installed with
the LMS
This is total BS!! I have NEVER had problems like this before... clean
installing OS and LMS and none of my SqueezeNetwork setting are saved.
Have 'cleaned' all files on the server and started over multiple
times... am thinking I may try a recent nightly to see if the OS upgrade
was implemented

Right, there is an SB3 at my office and I also access using iPeng on my
iPhone while driving. Many times I'll setup NO

OK, here's the log. It was originally too large so I deleted everything
up to April 1, 2017. Let me know what you see... I won't rebuild the
system until Friday.
Thanks again, guys!

OK - that probably means the Flac / Lame transcoding is for older
players and for Ipeng may be using a
Your first post mentions SoX ? LMS installs it own version and that's
the one that should be used.
Or did you meant to say OSX . Autocorrect gets you sometimes
Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621
No problem... still this is very frustrating as NONE of my Slim devices
work, but iPeng on the iPhone does... even converting 96k/24bit to a
320kMP3 is flawless and immediate.
Am i seriously missing something? Log to come later this evening.

The logs are already textfiles , the link on LMS webpage also presents
the file path .
You can use finder to copy and zip the original log files .
But the newer LMS versions also has the feature bpa mentioned a link
that downloads the logs into a zip file.
Again, it's only 48k/24bit files transcoding and it's to ALL of my
players... 2-SB3, 1-Duet and 1-Transporter. If I stream to my phone
using iPeng it works fine.
I didn't copy/paste the log. I let it run, selected ALL text in the log
file and pasted into an Apple Text file.
I'm on my way
The log is unreliable and if not edited then something is very strange
with your system - as if multiple LMS are running. If not sorted then no
point in trusting the log.
The log seems to show data has been sent to player - it's wating in the
player but then the opayer has underrun which means
Can you get a clean copy of the log - this log look like it has been
edited a number of times with cut & paste and overlapping sections
making it very hard to follow what is happening - either that or your
time is being reset.
Here's a recent attempt converting 48k/24bit FLAC saved as zipped RTF.
Thanks again for looking at it.

I'll look again. I don't think the problem is resampling as I've always
been able to play 48k files on other devices. Again the odd thing is
that iPeng on my iPhone plays everything fine. I did also try a xilix
update on the Transporter and nothing changed. This is extremely odd as
it has
Found my Flac resample problems. It is an example of transcode log where
failure happens early and but "matched" messages appear later so it can
confuse.
Code:
[17-08-07 10:18:01.1211] Slim::Player::TranscodingHelper::checkBin (250)
enabled
[17-08-07 10:18:01.1212]
Example of a more complete log with the important transcoding log
message highlighted - in your log I don;t see the other messages (e.g.
"matched") in your log which measn you have copied the LMS tests against
"failed" rules which precede a successful rule which then plays.
Code:
You have only sent tiny fragement of conversion - chopping the
importantt beginning lines and trailing lines. As a general rule for
logs it is best to copy iunto a text file, zip and attach to a post.
Also sometimes message that are missing are a clue to the error - by
editing the log that
Here's sent to my phone using iPeng playing 48k/24bit transcoding to
320kMP3:
[17-08-06 17:10:38.7008] Slim::Player::TranscodingHelper::checkBin (252)
Found command: [flac] -dcs $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$ | [sox] -q -t wav -
-t flac -C 0 $RESAMPLE$ -
[17-08-06 17:10:38.7010]
Odd that it's happening on both SB3, Duet and Transporter if I force
transcode, but if I force MP3 transcoding to my iPhone using iPeng to
playback, it works fine. If I play a 16-bit file, everything is OK.
Error is:
[17-08-06 16:52:19.8792] Slim::Player::TranscodingHelper::checkBin (252)

I just started having a problem a few days ago... probably after trying
to install a newer version os SOX... but LMS will no longer transcode
any 24-bit FLAC files to MP3 to stream to my office SB3. I've never had
this problem before and have tried every solution to solve it, without
luck. At
