I see, this is some sort of plugin conflict?
I disabled Music and Artist Information, and everything seems to be
fine.
I don't have time to further debugging right now - thanks for pointing
me in the right direction - and thanks for all your work with LMS!

Could you please enable debug logging for the scanner and
plugin.musicartistinfo? Then re-trigger the scan. This will take a
little longer and create a very large scanner.log. Feel free to drop it

Hi Michael
Here is a little more documentation on the issue.
I restarted and did a full clear and rescan. According to the
webinterface, the scanning is still in progress, and I cannot abort it.
Music is playing OK.

I think I'd start by shutting down LMS, deleting library.db, restarting.
It's not clear to me what exactly failed: the log file claims that the
artwork scan had finished, but nothing after that.

Does it hang (like no progress for 20 minutes) or is it slow? What does
scanner.log say? Or server.log?
