Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Spotify stop syncing playlist
No. Napster/Rhapsody runs only on Touch and Radio, because the new algorithm needed to decrypt the incoming stream wouldn't fit (from its size) into the older firmware. karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105934 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Michael, Thanks so much. All working now for the first time. Just out of curiosity could I have gotten Napster (Rhapsody) to work with one of your 3rd party plugins? welladjusted's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66629 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105934 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Spotify stop syncing playlist
I have now tried the Triode and Spotify Family 1. They both work, but neither seem to be syncing with my Spotify Artists that I am following. They're basically the same. The Family variant only added some stuff to make it look different, so you can rung multiple copies of the same plugin. I also added the Spotify Protocol Handler not that I know what that really does since it is not listed on my apps like the other 2. The thread discussing playlist syncing is mostly greek to me. Any help would be much appreciated. I am using Windows 10 on my PC and Aangrygoatsapps Squeeze Ctrl on my Android. The SPH plugin doesn't provide any browsing. It's only there to play back Spotify content on devices which are not officially supported (anything but Radio or Touch). You'll need to get rid of Triode's, but install the official app instead. Go to mysqueezebox.com to add the Spotify app, your credentials and activate your account. You should then see the official Spotify app in your controller apps and the web UI. And SPH will take care of playing back music on your Receiver. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Spotify stop syncing playlist
I am a complete novice when it comes to getting Squeezebox Duet to work properly. I originally had Rhapsody (now Napster) which stopped working on SB Duet quite a while ago. Tech support just said that Rhapsody stopped supporting SB. The song would appear to play, but no sound would come out. I recently switched to Spotify Premium and would get an error on SB when I tried to play it. Again tech support was useless and said Spotify wasn't supporting SB anymore. They never mentioned a 3rd party plug in. I have now tried the Triode and Spotify Family 1. They both work, but neither seem to be syncing with my Spotify Artists that I am following. I also added the Spotify Protocol Handler not that I know what that really does since it is not listed on my apps like the other 2. The thread discussing playlist syncing is mostly greek to me. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Spotify stop syncing playlist
my playlists were down-syncing those created in Spotify (created in Android app but viewable on any platform - and shareable as a collaborative list) to the LMS Triode app But I created some playlists in November on Triode's Spotify app in LMS & these were not up-syncing created playlists to the rest of Spotify. I've now switched to the updated "Family" app & it's working fine but I couldn't work out how to copy the ones that didn't sync before I de-installed the other Triode Spotify app. After an hour of unsuccessfully fiddling with copied URLs derived from LMS I sacrificed them to the ether (a few hours effort gone but hey ho). properjob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42088 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105934 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Ah, okay, I wil explain from the beginning Thanks, much clearer now. Now I go to triode's spotify family plugin on my local squeezebox (raspberry pi, lms7.9, radio and duet) Now here's the problem: this thread is not about Triode's nor the Spotify Family plugin. Therefore my confusion - I don't use those plugins. Please post to a thread related to one of those. In the list of playlists the playlist which is followed is shown in the top (in both desktop and mobile) Now I go to triode's spotify family plugin on my local squeezebox (raspberry pi, lms7.9, radio and duet) and open playlists the loading of the playlists will take approx 1 minute, which is very slow, and if I then open a playlist it will take again approx 1 minute I found out a "solution" for making it fast: I open the desktop app spotify in windows and move the followed playlist (mentioned above) down in the playlists-list (the first playlist is now one of my own playlists) then I use triode's spotify family plugin again and the playlists loads in 2 seconds That's it, I hope you now understand, markschu's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52908 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105934 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Spotify stop syncing playlist
When the followed playlist is on top of the list, it will take up to a minute to load whichever playlist I open. When the selfmade playlist is on top of the list, it will take two or three seconds to load whichever playlist I open So after I move the followed playlist down in the list of playlists, the playlist loading will be much faster. I'm sorry, I still don't understand the problem. Where do you "move down" a playlist? How do you select the lists (web UI, player, smart phone)? I don't have any playlists of my own, only a few followed lists. They always start immediately. I don't know how to reproduce your issue. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Spotify stop syncing playlist
When I make a new playlist it is not shown in the playlists. These are album playlistst, so about 10 songs. I now use Family and that fixed the problem. You would have to leave the playlists menu and re-enter it to see the latest additions. Would waiting a minute or two make it show up? As noted in my other response we do some caching of content. User's playlists shouldn't be cached for long, though, for the very reason you mention: you create it in the Spotify playlist, then want to see it immediately on your SB. I think the timeout for this kind of item is only one minute. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Spotify stop syncing playlist
This looks like a bug: If a followed playlist is one of the first playlists in spotify, then the loading of the playlists takes a long time. When the followed playlist is moved down in the list of playlists loading is fast again. I rather think this is called "caching": once the item has been loaded, a subsequent access can be read from a local cached copy, rather than requested from a server on the other end of the world. Therefore the faster second access. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
