Yes, I had the Spotify Protocol Handler installed. In addition to the above - I also cannot use Squeeze Player on my Android phone.
Our incoming internet is only 2.5Mbps over a copper phone line. But we can stream TV on this, and I can use iPlayer although the official BBC streams some times "stutter".
