I want to know whether or not cache hierarchy (parent/sister
relation) is useful for squid when it's running on acceleator mode.
Any suggestion?Thanks.

Hi all, is it possible to create limit by day to the utilization of

Please can someone help me with my problem with SQUID 2.5.STABLE12 and using
squid_ldapauth as authenticator.
The configuration-file for squid is really simple and I've got from one
an old system thats running under SQUID 2.5.STABLE1.

I doubt cache hierarchy will help you in case of accelerator setup, unless
you have too much of data on webservers and too few space on proxies.
However using hierarchy could slow up data retrieving in this case.

What I don't get is the cache_peer_access stuff.
It's only needed on the backend Squids, and only if you use cache_peer
for routing the requests to the correct webserver.
The only thing that
should be accessing either 'back end' squid

Hi to all.
Using Squid 2.5 Stable 12 on 2 identical systems (SLES 10).
On the first system, Squid logs correctly AD domain name and user in the form
DOMAIN+username.
On the second one, it logs only the username, stripping away the domain name.
The only difference is that the first system is
sorry about the confusion, the mailserver i'm using squid for is a
domino mailserver, which has built-in HTTP server to serve mail
sessions over the web on port 80 or 443. so as far as squid is
concerned domino is basically acting as a webserver, not a mailserver.

How can I bind a particular squid instance to a particular address on
the UDP side? It's easy with tcp - hostname:port but if I do this for
udp_port it doesn't work, Squid always listens on all addresses for

By using add-ons.
Ooops, just discovered this directive:

Hello All,
Is there a way to print the entire content alongwith the headers in
the logs file. Using the debug_options maybe.
Thanks for your time.

Hi,
Yes it is possible by using 3rd party add-ons.

A two level structure can be quite effective in large scale setups.
Large farm of Squid's fronting the users, and a much smaller farm

Levels is created by parent relations.

Nope. Squid never prints the content in debug statements. Partially due
to the content often being binary and not showing up
