Hey , guys,
Recently I did some interesting performance testing .
I used memory only for the squid configuration . when I set the the
cache_mem to following value , I got incresed CPU utilization .
cache_mem 4096 MB, cpu :73% (the value from top or squidclient mgr:info)
cache_mem 6144 MB ,

Hmm.. don't use --enable-dlmalloc if you have more than 2 GB of memory,
or at all if you have a reasonably modern OS.. (i.e. almost anything

Yes. But cache.log MAY also contain

Hi Henrik,
You are correct.
my search base is DC=abc,DC=com,DC=br
I have nothing related LDA on cache.log
I´m looking for some documentation and found many guys using Squid + Samba (
winbind) with libnss_winbind.so and libnss_winbind.so.2 authenticating on AD
(win 2003).

Squid does monitor the bandwidth usage in traffic counters. You can
collect this information

Can anybody tell me why source-hash algorithm in cache_peer directive
can't handle the session case?
Since source-hash (if I understand for it correctly) will redirect
users' requests based on their IPs, so the same IP will always go to
the same original server. That will keep session always

this swap.state corruption is getting worse and worse and it is a pattern
swap.state.new EVER stops at 72 and then one swap.state after the other
grows until the disk is full
what do you need to fix this? This is NOT only a diskd problem, it also
happens exactly same way with aufs

As a reverse proxy to web server, is it possible to limit the

Not currently no. But shouldn't be too hard to implement.

Could you please provide a link to that bug?
Not sure there
I am trying to authenticate users with ntlm_auth but fail and don't find the
reason. I see the initial NTLM challenge, but then the Browser doesn't
continue the next NTLM step ( at least that is what I think happens)
Any idea what I did wrong ?
Thank you

Hi all,
I´m still in trouble to get it working ...
The status is that my Squid just tell me this error on cache.log after try

Interesting.
For me dlmalloc fails completely when the process size goes above 2GB.

There has been a fair bit of work gone into some recent Squid to reduce
port patching.
