Anil,
Change the minimum_object_size to 0KB and then reconfigure Squid and
then check access_log. The objects lesser than this values won't be
cached by squid.

Hi,
I have some apps which required my squid configuration to enable
ignore_expect_100.
I would like to know if it is advisable to enable ignore_expect_100 in Squid
and what are the issues likely to face or any security concern in Squid if
ignore_expect_100 is being enabled.
Thank you.
Another question...should i see the requests from users in the
access.log? (because I'm not)
I'm trying to filter the requests by category (no porn, no gambling, no
streamingand so on), mas it seems that if I use the Squid as
transparent proxy it doesn't apply the ACL's in squid.conf (but if I

G'day,
I've started publishing the notes from the presentations and developer
discussions that we held at the Yahoo!7 offices last month.
You can find them at

I'm going to try and make sure any further
Anil,
You can set the Max-File Descriptor value while recompiling squid
itself. For example, you can give as follows.
--with-maxfd=32768
Also, you can set the same value in squid conf using the variable
max_filedesc.

Olá Nuno :P
As a transparent proxy it apply's the ACL, I have it working for example to
block MSN using an ACL, and other stuff.
In fact I never used squid in other way than as a transparent proxy and it
always worked.

Hi all,
I have a proxy squid+squidguard with ntlm auth (samba+winbind) and all
work well with a XP Client.
Today a new pc (Windows Vista) was inserted in the active directory
domain and this pc are not able to authenticate.
In the cache.log I find this:

Hi,
We´re working on a substitution of an ISA by a SQUID server. The problem is
that we have more than 8.000 users and the authentication is based on a
Microsoft AD, so we intend to use kerberos authentication to have a better
perfomance.
We´re using a CentOS 5 with all patches installed.
The error Configuration file does not specify default realm seems to
indicate a configuration error. How does your krb5.conf look like ?
Is the default realm REDECAMARA.CAMARA.GOV.BR ?

In my headers, the HTTP_KEEP_ALIVE = 300 is not displaying and I'm
not sure why. I have the following header_access rules:
header_access X-Forwarded-For deny all
header_access Proxy-Connection deny all
header_access Via deny all
header_access All allow all
With these rules I get the following

To be honest I've ehausted my knowledge base as to why this is happening.
I've been working to get sqiid configured with ntlm.
Couple of points.
I'm using the ntlm_auth supplied by samba.
Yesterday I got it working. The trick for me was setting LM and NTLM
in local setting under windows.
Well
i have

In my squid proxy user authenticate is done via Microsoft Active
Directory LDAP. Lately, I have been seeing a user called
registration trying to access the net via proxy. This user doesn't
belong to any LDAP group. I guess someone has registered an
application with that username and it's trying to
