Hi everyone, I want to control the bandwidth of my network by limiting the download size of a group of users at different times of a day. I googled and I found SQUISH that can do this. Anyone have tested this tools before? I sent an email to it's developers but there is no answer yet :-/ Is this

Is there an oprofile version for FreeBSD? I thought it is limited to Linux. On FreeBSD I tried pmcstat, but it gives an initialization error. My version of Squid is old and customized (so I can't upgrade) and may not have builtin timers. Since what version did they appear? As for gprof - even

I have a squid 2.7 box, configured as transparent with wccp2 router configured. ACL's are wide open for the whole 10.0.0.0/8 network. My WCCP2 router is a Cisco 6509 with a Sup32 running IOS. The squid works fine if I add it in the browser on port 3128, but if I take it out, internet stops

Talk to the freebsd guys (eg me) about pmcstat and support for your hardware. You may just need to find / organise a backport of the particular hardware support for your platform. I've been working on profiling Lusca with pmcstat and some new-ish tools which use and extend it in useful ways.
