Davide, If you use OpenLDAP 2.x, don't forget to enable ldapv2 in your slapd.conf (You must build it with --enable-referrals and add "allow bindv2" in your slapd.conf after your rights rules). By default, openldap 2.x use ldapv3 protocol to communicate and squid use ldapv2...
