enabled the PASSIVE mode that usually is the solution to pass trough the

It would seem that you're using the wrong password on the ftp site.

Try Squid 3.1 out.
It also supports regular HTTP Authentication (login popups) to FTP sites.

Not at all. Squid can server ftp-content through http, but the browser
must accept those pages. FTP-Proxy is needed only for native ftp-clients.
