This may seem stupid, How can we configure squid to allow employees to modify their own hosts file in windows to work? Currently if someone has a host file entry that points to a non-existent domain, they can ping it from their workstations fine, but when they browse they get the squid error

Apologies in advance for what I’m sure should be an easy fix, but we’re trying to restrict the IP address squid listens on for our reverse proxy, web accelerator setup, which happens to reside on a server with 3 separate fixed IPs. The other two IPs are servicing two other (locally hosted)
