We use Squid 3.1.12 with TrendMicro IWSVA as ICAP server and early responses enabled. I see a lot of ICAP connections hanging in FIN_WAIT1 state (with large Send-Q) on IWSVA and CLOSE_WAIT state on squid box (with large Recv-Q). Cache manager shows them as idle connections. Can it be one

Hello friends i have a problem with my squid server ( conf proc: Intel(R) Celeron(R) E3200  @ 2.40GHz, 6 GB ram dual-channel 800 Mhz, hdd S-ATA II 500 GB Cache 32 Mb ) , when cache_dir is full squid becomes slow i have 60 Mbps bandwith and i can't use only 10-15 Mbps with squid up.

I have multiple name servers set in my configuration like this: dns_nameservers 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.2 The first server is down/refusing connections which makes Squid puke when resolving addresses. It doesn't appear to even try the second server. Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on,
