Cache manager shows them as idle connections.
Can it be one

I have multiple name servers set in my configuration like this:
dns_nameservers 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.2
The first server is down/refusing connections which makes Squid puke
when resolving addresses. It doesn't appear to even try the second
server. Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on,
Thanks for your reply!
I asked about the one cache_dir per worker, because I think only one
cache_dir is not possible using workers, am I right? The server is
overkill now for 1000+ users, but we will use it for our entire

Hi all,
i have a (nice?) squid authentication/authorization challenge.
I already have a working authentication configuration using negiotiate
with squid_kerb_auth and ntlm using ntlm_auth. Authorization is done
using an external_acl_type with squid_ldap_group.
Now i want that users can

Hi Amos,
thanks for your clarification and the link. So i try now the following:
1) Add a working basic auth to auth_param (probably ldap_auth).
2) Modify the access list from
http_access allow ldapgroup-access
http_access deny all
to
http_access deny !ldapgroup-access

I am trying to configure Squid so it can cache big files from a specific
domain. The option maximum_object_size is a global value for all
cache_dir available. So I can increase it but my problem is that I do
not want to allow caching of big files from another sites.
Tried increasing

and making tests with squid doesn't work me together, for examples I
had users that could not download for squid, but now not the block ,
I have in squid the same options that the version 2.8 of dans worked me
