I'm writing a external_acl_mode helper to use with our proxy (combined with

Thanks

I do apologise for the lack of information.
I did a tracert on both the squid and on a client and the results are as
follows:
Squid:
Squidoz:/home/netsnap # traceroute 8.8.8.8
traceroute to 8.8.8.8 (8.8.8.8), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets using UDP
1 172.16.11.1 (172.16.11.1) 0.092 ms 0.062
seems okay but i asked for tcptraceroute not traceroute there is adifference
the thing is you need to do metrics in the same flow, as you have a
squid your tcp 80 port flow is different than traceroute (udp).
