former and about 10ms for the latter and I don't know whether I should
be interpreting that as good or bad.

Yes, but this then requires a 3rd party utility to create the ZIP, and I
was looking first for a "Windows only" method. "Compressed folder" is
just how Windows refers to a ZIP archive, be it of a file or a folder or
anything.

Initially I did it that way, being used to the BSDs working in the same
fashion, but I changed it back simply due to the documentation
recommending an exact copy.
