The Fire Garden april 12 & 13 8pm to 2am $20 ----> Event Description <----------------------------------------------- FIRE and LIGHT STORM WARNING FOR APRIL 12 AND 13, 2002 at the Golden Pacific Brewery in BERKELEY Eccentric Design Group presents a celebration of fire and light at the Golden Pacific Brewery in Berkeley on April 12 and 13th. All proceeds from this fully hosted event will benefit the production of two Burning Man installations: the Thermo Kraken by Therm, and the Lily pond by LightFantastic. Both evening's festivities will feature a wide array of sights and sounds guaranteed to provide visual and aural stimulation. Therm's Fire Garden creates a landscape of sculptural works that focus on fire as a creative element. The Tesla Coil by Kellick is one of the few in the world created by a woman. There will also be solar powered botanical sculptures by Sun Brothers and illuminated sculpture by LightFantastic. Add to this live soundscapes courtesy of the Reverend Screaming Fingers and beats by DJ Vordo, and this event will be sure to deliver candy for eyes and ears. Eccentric Design is a collective of artists and performers working together to create interactive sculpture, products and environments.
