Start SquirrelMail configuration utility (conf.pl), select 10. Languages
menu option and change default charset from iso-8859-1 to utf-8 or
windows-1256. These character sets should allow use of Arabic characters
in US English translation.
If you select utf-8, make sure that php has mbstring suppo
I'm using the vacation-local plugin with dovecot and postfix as MTA... it
didn't seem to want to work without using FTP either. The other option
didn't work at all. It works great with the FTP option though. :)

Currently I'm using dovcot IMAP with SM, and sendmail as my MTA. The
vaction plugins don't appear to work with this combination or require FTP to
function (FTP is out of the question). Is there some alternative, or
suggestion.

I am using squirrelmail ver 1.4.6 (latest stable), the Translation ver 1.4; the operating system language is English.
I can't compose arabic in plain text, the only way is to use html_mail's Universal Keyboard ver 2.3-1.4
