I'm running SM1.27 (the latest update from Red Hat Network) with SSL
login. An attempt at http login correctly redirects to https, but after
the login page, we stay at https instead of going back to http. It was my
understanding that it is supposed to switch back to http.
Is this something fixed i
Well, Red Hat Network just updated SM from 1.2.7 to 1.2.8, and now
secure_login properly returns to http after the login page!
THANKS!

I'm running RH8.0 with Apache 2 and SM1.2.8, and they all work great
together! i think RH8.0 ships with SM1.2.7, but Red Hat Network just
updated it to 1.2.8.

Speaking of POP3 fetch, I'm finding that most of the time, I'm getting
"Error [111] (Connection refused). However, sometimes it DOES work. I'm
running SM 1.2.8 (latest Red Hat Network distribution). This happens with
both POP servers SM is trying to get mail from.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I have run SM on SSL with almost no problems. On large attachments, SSL
would burp, but otherwise stuff was fine. There's an SSL login plug-in
that I now use so only the login is SSL. This encrypts the username and
password. Mail going back and forth is not encrypted. This seems fine to
me.

I'm having a problem with the folders page with subscribe/unsubscribe
. The subscribe window fills up with every file in my user directory
(including all my web pages in public_html). I'd like all mail
folders to be in /home/username/mail . I'm running SM1.4.2 on RH8 .

Any chance a filter based on the sender's presence in a user's address
book could be added? I think the presence would be a pretty good indicator
that the message is not spam.
THANKS!

I'm running SM 1.4.2 with pop mail fetch. I get the error below if I
enable one of the spam filters (like SpamCop). Any idea what to do?
Thanks!

I used to have that happen. Turns out that SM was trying to put EVERY
directory and subdirectory in /home/harold in the subscribe window. Since
there are thousands of directories there (I have thousands of pages in
public_html), it'd eventually give up. The fix was to change options -

Did you go to the folders page in SM and "subscribe" to the folder? It
will not show up in the folder frame until you do.

I'm getting buried in spam! This morning I had over 150 messages
pushing drugs. I imagine a lot of this could be stopped by the spam
filter optin in SM, but when I enable it, I get the error message:
ERROR : Bad or malformed request.

Of course, everything between the client and SM is encrypted by
SSL, but I don't think the stuff between SM and IMAP is. And the original
writer wanted to keep unencrypted stuff off the LAN between SM and the
IMAP server. I'm running SM and IMAP server on the same machine, so this

Here are a few comments on SSL on RH8.0.
In the version of Apache shipped with RH8.0, the SSL configuration
got moved to its own file : /etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf . The root of
the SSL directory tree is defined in there with a statement like:

I'm moving to a new server and have moved over all the user preferences
(address book, calendar, etc.), but apparently not the pop fetchmail data.
Does somewhere know where it is so I can copy it over?
Thanks!

Never mind! It looks like fail2ban already has something for this. I just
have to figure out how to configure it.
Thanks!

Is this possible? I get several hundered ssh login failures each day that
I pass to fail2ban to block those IP addresses. It seems like there MIGHT
similarly be SM login failures that would be nice to block.
