Jim, Excessive flaring could have been eliminated by proper machine adjustment. I had 0.500 thick stainless water jet machined with less than 0.002 flare. Keep your steam up! Walt

OK, Landon, I see what you're doing now. You've taken one of the sets of excentrics off the driving axle and put them on an adjacent axle. You have the same basic setup as a Stephenson's but presumably without the angular errors. It's an interesting insight and one that bears experimentation
