Friends:
I bought a set of drain cocks from Sulphur Springs a while back but they are
just a little too big for Ruby. Even the smallest size is long enough to be
very close to the height of the rail head, making them vulnerable to
breaking off in the event that Ruby derails or upsets. The
John Thomson has a setup like this on his 'Billy' loco. There's a
microservo under the cab that opens the lines op. :)
Really goes 'WHOOOSH!'

I was amazed to notice that the Aster 'Big Boy has tiny, functional drain
cocks on all 4 cylinders! I found this out watching Mike Moore flipping them
shut (with great dexterity) as the loco moved off from cold.

Does anyone have any pictures of any of these type of draincock

locomotive, with cab or radio actuation, for a mere fraction of the cost of
a Big Boy. 1/3rd comes

Trent asked:-
The reason that I mention this is to ask a question. Has
anyone ever built a working dynamo for a one of our small steamers? I've
seen
several on the larger scales but none smaller than on a 1 scale
locomotive. .

called accucraft today and they don't have any in stock and don't
anticipate having any anytime soon.

usually get from the bolt drawers at your local hardware, pardon me . . . .
