XEP-0022 Message Events has been obsoleted and says:

Note: More modern protocol extensions for this functionality have been defined 
in Chat State Notifications (XEP-0085) [1] for the composing and offline events 
and in Message Delivery Receipts (XEP-0184) [2] for the delivered and displayed 
events; those specifications supersede this one.


However, I don’t see how XEP-0085 works for the offline event, which is 
described as "Indicates that the message has been stored offline by the 
intended recipient's server“.
Is this case maybe covered by XEP-0079 instead? (I am not sure about it)

Similarly the Displayed event isn’t really handled by XEP-0184 because it's 
only about delivery.
XEP-0333 might be the more appropriate XEP for the Displayed event.

Hence I think the „Note“ from XEP-0022 is partially wrong and misleading and I 
want to propose to update it to the correct successor XEPs.
