Hi everyone, Council yesterday decided to hold an additional meeting this afternoon, in order to give us the highest chance of progressing the Compliance Suite 2020 to Draft.
Last call ended yesterday fractionally before the usual meeting time, and so feedback couldn't be processed in time. Council will therefore vote on advancing this to Draft at an additional meeting at 1600Z today (Thursday). There is a two week voting period, but with luck we won't need this as we believe that all feedback has been discussed and addressed in the latest version of the document published yesterday. If an issue you raised during Last Call has not been discussed and addressed to your satisfaction, please let me (or another Council member) know. Please do not raise additional issues unless you think they're really show-stoppers - and moreover be prepared to make some effort to convince Council members that they are, given that these would be raised after the two-week Last Call period explicitly meant for such issues. After today, Council cannot pass new items unless all Council members vote within the two-week deadline, so I should warn people that any new issues raised now in this or other documents are likely to be decided by a new Council.
