http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=17613 Problem with html:messages Tag and Tomcat Tag Pooling Summary: Problem with html:messages Tag and Tomcat Tag Pooling Product: Struts Version: 1.1 RC1 Platform: All OS/Version: Windows NT/2K Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: Custom Tags AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] There seems to be an imcompatibility between the html:messages tag and the tag pooling mechanism in Tomcat 4.1.18. There are some member variables of org.apache.struts.taglib.html.MessagesTag that never get reset upon subsequent calls to the tag in the pool. This causes the footer attribute of the tag to be displayed even on pages where there are no errors if an error had occurred previously. The fix would be to reset any state variables in the method doStartTag --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
