You are able to write a vendor neutral app using the bluestone servlet
engine.
If you elaborate a bit I can offer some advice.
You can get to a Trail Map on the gallery website for further information
Backward compatibility is an ongoing priority from 1.0
out.
The
idea, as I have understood it, has been to makeas many non-backward
compatible changes as possible before the 1.0 release to help alleviate the need
for them later.
