I've been having the same problem. Most messages appear immediately but some can take up to two days to arrive! Craig thinks it's due to the SoBig.F worm and that makes sense, but I still don't get why it only affects a very small number of messages.
I guess it's just "one of those things". The best thing to do is just sit it out until things get better. Just be patient if someone's post seems to be hopelessly out of touch with the thread.
