Thanx to your input, I was able to identify a recent, manually-added dive
as the culprit. I ended up committing a fix to that dive via git, and
Subsurface is happy now.

I assume that you store your logbook in he cloud (or in a local git
repo). Correct? When you store your data in an XML/SSRF file, you should
not have encountered this.
