People in the team might add the gasses to their computer but leave
them inactive / turned off so not to mess us the calculations and only
activate them if they were to use them.

Also as I cave dive the environment dictates ups and down a fair bit.
I might let the ppo2 wander around rather than always wasteing gas (adding and
removing gas constantly) just to be within 1% of a target number like the
computer running a solenoid controlling the o2 would.

I can also confirm an issue in windows 10 as well when using the older serial
port method to download from a petrel 2.
I don't remember the exact error message and when I tried again from command
line using -vvv to capture the messages it worked successfully.
