Technically, the insertion pointer or text cursor is known as the
caret, though I'm not sure how familiar or useful of a term that is.
It works when everyone knows that caret means the insertion pointer and
cursor means the mouse pointer, but given that some new ground is being
broken here,

I suppose you could call it an arrow (provided you ignore the other
cursor shapes and arrows in the Sugar environment).
